Relegation for Bradford Bulls

The Bradford Bulls have been relegated from the Super League for the first time in forty years.

The team went down to the Championship after they were defeated 26-56 away to the Huddersfield Giants, losing them their long lived position.

Paul Anderson, head coach of the Giants and a former Bulls player had words of reassurance for the club his side condemned.

He said: “One thing we can say is that there was a landmark day for this club many years ago when it went down.”

The club regrouped and came back stronger to be in the position that we’re in now.”bulls

James Lowes, Bradford Bull’s head coach and former hooker, stated that the stadium was a sad place to be today compared to the glory days when he played for the club, but there was no giving up.

He said: “We want to finish off the season in the right manner and prepare the right way for a tough year in the Championship.”

Telgraph and Argus rugby correspondent Ross Heppenstall will be in the Yorkshire Voice TV studio later with Mark Kielesz-Levine and Russell Truran.
