Yeovil Town travel to the Wham Stadium aiming to extend a six-game unbeaten run that has seen them just two points short of the play-offs with a game in hand.

Accrington, who have lost their last four in the league, welcome back defender Matty Pearson after a one-game ban.

Stanley’s stalwart manager John Coleman, into his 15th season in charge, has bemoaned a run of bad luck of late, which culminated in Tuesday’s 2-0 defeat at Hartlepool.

Top scorer Billy Kee and Republic of Ireland winger John O’Sullivan returned for Stanley in midweek, who also saw defender Mark Hughes red card rescinded.

Accrington will need Kee to perform if they are to improve on a dismal goal tally of one in their last five, gaining just a solitary point in the process.

Confidence is growing in Somerset of a return to League One at the second time of asking, yet Glover’s manager Darren Way is wary of complacency travelling to a ground they have never won at.

Speaking to the YTFC website, Way said: “It’s not an easy place to go and you have to make sure you have a lot of energy.”

Yeovil’s midweek match at home to Crawley Town fell victim to storm Angus and midfielder Otis Khan, a former Ninja Warrior contestant, shared his manager’s frustration that the postponed fixture could halt their late momentum.

Way, 230 appearances for Town, will have no doubt in his team’s firepower scoring in eight of their last nine, including a last-minute winner at home to Colchester United last weekend.

Referee for the match Dean Whitestone has an extraordinarily clean disciplinary record of late, not brandishing a red card in his last 53 matches since August 2015.

Yeovil demonstrated the good side of football earlier this month, handing 13-year-old Daryl Allinson a goalkeeping contract. Daryl, who has Leukaemia, toured Huish Park with the squad and was introduced to fans in a press conference.
